If you have been living in New Zealand for at least three years and have held a residence class visa for three years, you can apply for student loans and allowances from the Ministry of Social Development to cover your tuition fees, programme-related costs and living expenses.

The Education (Pastoral Care of Tertiary and International Learners) Code of Practice 2021 comes into effect on 1 January 2022.
The Code sets out a general duty of pastoral care that the tertiary providers have for domestic and international tertiary learners.
The general duty of pastoral care under the Code covers physical safety, access to advice and support services, physical and mental health support, freedom from discrimination and racism, support for transition to tertiary study, and the opportunity to take part in decision making on support services.
To fully support our learners, the School observes the Code of Practice for the Pastoral Care of Tertiary and International Learners published by the Ministry of Education.
The Code is available here, on request at the School or from the New Zealand Ministry of Education Website.
The School cares about the wellbeing of students and provides access to appropriate services.
Students can book a free session of up to 60 minutes with a counsellor on Wednesdays between 12pm and 3pm.
