Student Loans and Allowances

If you have been living in New Zealand for at least three years and have held a residence class visa for three years, you can apply for student loans and allowances from the Ministry of Social Development to cover your tuition fees, programme-related costs and living expenses.

A student loan can help finance your study, but you must pay it back.

If you are studying full-time, you can get:

• compulsory tuition fees
• programme-related costs
• living costs.

A student allowance is a weekly payment that you do not have to pay back.

Pastoral Care – Code Of Practice

NZATCM will observe and comply with the requirements of the Pastoral Care of Tertiary and International Learners Code of Practice 2021.

Free Counselling Services

The School cares about the wellbeing of students and provides access to appropriate services.

Students can book a free session of up to 60 minutes with a counsellor on Wednesdays between 12pm and 3pm.

Academic Support Services

The School helps students prepare for and adjust to tertiary study. If you need academic support services, please email to admin@nzsao.com for more details.

Suggestions and Concerns

The School welcomes suggestions from students in developing practices to support their study, enhance their learning environment and provide pastoral care. You can email your suggestions to admin@nzsao.com or write it down on our logbook at the reception desk.If a student has concern relating to their study, learning environment, school policies and pastoral care, please see our staff in the administration office.
